Who are we?
BEAM is a student association that unites all master’s and bachelor’s students in biomedical engineering at Ghent University and VUB.

Meet your future engineer
Our Industry Day gives bachelor’s and master’s students the opportunity to meet your company in an informal manner and gets them inspired by your experiences.
Present your organization
Our Company Day gives you a chance to showcase your organization's expertise, share industry insights, and discuss how students can contribute to your vision.
Broaden your knowledge
Each semester we invite guest speakers to give a presentation about emerging topics in biomedical engineering or related fields.
Get hands-on experience
We organize several workshops related to our field of study or career management. These workshops include: makeathons, debates about bioethics and CV workshops.
Building bridges between cultures
Biomedical Engineering at UGent and VUB is a highly internationally-oriented track. Our Belgian Evening is a social event that is intended to connect Belgian and international students.
Strengthening social cohesion
Beam organizes multiple social activities throughout the year. Past events include quizzes, pizza evenings, cue sports, laser shooting…
