In collaboration with BEAM, presented by Johns Hopkins
The Convergence Series is a series of lectures, organised by different student groups of universities across the world: Johns Hopkins University in the US, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in Spain, EPFL in Switzerland, CentraleSupélec in Paris in France and ourselves, BEAM at the University of Ghent/VUB. This series discovers the domains of health, engineering and governance in a global perspective, bringing together visions of experts across the world. On the 28th of April at 15h, the science policy and diplomacy group at Johns Hopkins hosts a lecture about “Racial and Gender Biases in AI/ML-enabled Health Devices”. 3 experts in different subdomains will have a panel discussion on this topic for about 45 minutes, after which the audience can ask questions.
Date & Time: April 28th, 2025 | 15:00–16:00 CEST
