Each year, in addition to the company visit that is traditionally part of the BEAM trip, we also strive to organize exclusive visits to leading institutions and companies active in the biomedical field. These visits provide our students with a unique opportunity to step behind the scenes and witness how groundbreaking ideas and technologies are transformed into real-world solutions. By seeing theory translated into practice, students gain invaluable insights into the daily operations, challenges, and innovations that drive the biomedical industry forward.

In previous years, we’ve had the privilege of visiting some truly inspiring companies. In 2023, for example, we partnered with Orsi Academy to visit IBA in Louvain-La-Neuve, a global leader in particle accelerator technology and cutting-edge solutions for cancer treatment. In 2025, we explored the world of implantable hearing solutions with Cochlear, a pioneering company whose devices help thousands of people regain their sense of hearing and improve their quality of life.

We aim to continue building bridges between academia and industry by offering our students direct exposure to the biomedical sector. These visits not only broaden their knowledge but also help them develop a clearer picture of potential career paths and inspire them to make a meaningful impact in their future professions.
